Your Farmers

Get to know your farmers!

Our farm is situated on 40 acres, 3 miles west of Montgomery MN. Over the past 12 years, we have been growing the farm piece by piece, each year growing more food on healthier soils. We are committed to growing all our food free of chemicals in a natural and sustainable way and providing that food to you in its freshest, simplest form. We call it eco-ganic. It is more than organic because it is produced in a way that is holistic, with each part supporting the others while sustaining our precious resources. We want you to know about your food and how it’s grown, and therefore we feel we do not need a government ‘organic’ label to tell our customers that our meat and produce is naturally grown. Our openness is our labeling. In addition, our children hand feed our animals, pick and eat the produce right in the garden, they play in the dirt between the rows, and it simply is not worth risking the health of our children for the perceived benefits of chemically grown food.

So come out or give us a call (612-245-6271) and give us an opportunity to become your farmer. Monthly order your items from the store, including some of the absolutely best meat you can buy, and they will be delivered to your door. Become a member of our CSA and pick up weekly boxes of produce and as a bonus pick any ‘extras’ we are blessed with. In years past we have had an abundance of beans, tomatoes, peppers and other produce depending on the year. Then you could freeze or can your own beans for winter.

Zoom in to see an aerial view of our farm. If you really are a true detective you can spy on the people working in the field, the framed up livestock pavilion which had no tin on it yet, the cows who were up in the lot instead of in the green pasture (many of our cows were in their summer pastures at this point), high tunnel 14 that lost its top in a storm, and the little orange tractor, my favorite, up by the pack shed.
